GRAPEVINE HOUSING AUTHORITY OFFICE 131 STARR PLACE, GRAPEVINE, TEXAS CALL TO ORDER: 4:00 D.m. CITIZEN COMMENTS Any person who is not scheduled on the agenda may address the Board of Commissioners under Citizen Comments or on any other agenda item by completing a Citizen Appearance Request form with the Executive Director. A member of the public may address the Board of Commissioners regarding an item on the agenda either before or during the Board's consideration of the item, upon being recognized by the Chair of the Board or upon the consent of the Board. In accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, the Board is restricted in discussing or taking action during Citizen Comments. REPORT OF THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR (INFORMATIONAL ONLY) 1. Status of Grapevine Housing Authority A. Rent Delinquency and Information Sheet B. Capital Funds Report and Work in Progress C. Report of Public Housing Activity and Issues through June 20, 2022 D. Update from the Resident Advisory meeting held on June 17, 2022 NEW BUSINESS 2. Consideration of the minutes from the April 28, 2022 meeting and take any necessary action. 3. Consideration and approval to authorize the Executive Director to enter into a service agreement with Online Information Services who provides credit, criminal, and employment background checks. 4. Consideration and acceptance of the March and April 2022 monthly financial statements and take necessary action. ADJOURNMENT In accordance with the Open Meeting Law, Texas Government Code, Chapter 551, 1 hereby certify that the above agenda was posted on the official boards at Grapevine City Hall, 200 S Main Street and on the City's website on June 20, 2022, by 4:00 p.m. Jane ve ett Execu ive Director State of Texas County of Tarrant City of Grapevine The Board of Commissioners of the Grapevine Housing Authority met in Regular Session on this the 23rd day of June 2022, in the Conference Room of the Grapevine Housing Authority, 131 Starr Place, with the following members present to wit: Linda Troeger Bettye Bratcher Teri Rhodes -Cantu Shonda Shaefer Chair Resident Commissioner Commissioner Commissioner Absent Bonnie McHugh Vice Chair/Finance Constituting a quorum, with the following also present: Duff O'Dell City Council Liaison Jane Everett Executive Director REGULAR MEETING Chairperson Troeger called the regular meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. Citizen Comments No Citizen comments submitted NEW BUSINESS Item #1 Reoort of the Executive Director (Informational Only) A. Rent Delinouencv and Information Sheet The Executive Director reported to the Board on the rent delinquencies, number of empty units, work orders and statistical information for the waiting list for Public Housing through June 20, 2022. B. Capital Funds Reoort and Work in Proaress The Executive Director reported to the Board on the current Capital Funds and corresponding projects. C. Reoort of Public Housina Activitv and Issues Grapevine Housing Authority is finding more and more residents have a need for handrails and ramps. HUD has scheduled an NSPIRE inspection for July 25, 2022. D. Uodate from the Resident Advisory meeting held on June 17. 2022 The minutes from the June 17, 2022, Resident Advisory Board meeting were presented to the Board. Jane discussed capital funds with the residents and asked for suggestions on how the funds should be spent. The residents suggested ceiling fans and trimming trees. Jane informed the residents the tree company was scheduled for July. Item #2 - Consideration of the minutes from the Aoril 28. 2022 meetina and take anv necessary action. The Board was provided the minutes from the April 28, 2022, meeting for approval. Commissioner Rhodes -Cantu moved and Commissioner Shaefer seconded to accept the April 28, 2022 minutes. Ayes: Troeger, Rhodes -Cantu, Shaefer and Bratcher Nays: None Absent: McHugh Motion passed: 4-0 Item #3 - Consideration and aooroval to authorize the Executive Director to enter into a service agreement with Online Information Services who orovides credit. criminal. and emolovment background checks. The Board was presented with the service agreement with Online Information Services. Commissioner Shaefer moved and Commissioner Bratcher seconded to approve the Executive Director to enter into a service agreement with Online Information Services. Ayes: Troeger, Rhodes -Cantu, Shaefer and Bratcher Nays: None Absent: McHugh Motion passed: 4-0 Item #4 - Consideration and acceptance of the March and April 2022 monthly financial statements and take necessary action. The Executive Director presented the board with electronic copies of the March and April 2022 financial statements for review. Commissioner Rhodes -Cantu moved and Commissioner Bratcher seconded to accept the March and April 2022 financial statements. Ayes: Troeger, Rhodes -Cantu, Shaefer and Bratcher Nays: None Absent: McHugh Motion passed: 4-0 ADJOURNMENT Commissioner Schaefer moved and Commissioner Rhodes -Cantu seconded that the meeting be adjourned.
