Attachments: 1) Spread sheet showing The Ohlook Performing Arts Center's annual activities and the number of parking spaces needed: A minimum of 9 spaces for student activity and a maximum of 59 spaces for performances. 2) A letter from an owner that has 2 properties that they have donated 35 parking spaces for Ohlook Performing Arts Center's use: 1 lot with 18 spaces and another with 17 spaces. 3) A letter from an owner that has a property that has donated 14 parking spaces for Ohlook Performing Arts Center's use. Note that there are 10 street parking spaces in front of the Ohlook building on Barton Street for Ohlook Performing Arts Center's use. Also note that there are 100+ street parking spaces and 300+ off-street parking spaces at city parking lots within close proximity of the Ohlook Performing Arts Center. Let me know if this is what you, Ron and the Planning and Zoning Committee need to recommend parking approval for this project to the city council, or if you have questions, or if you need more info. We are offering the use of both of these lots for overflow parking for your events at Onlook at any and all times other than normal daytime business hours Monday through Friday. The parking plan consists of two components; first, utilizing 49 private property off site parking spaces, ten spaces directly adjacent to the subject site and utilization of available public parking on streets and pubic parking lots; and finally, designating when parking demand for Ohlook is expected to be the greatest. The attached parking exhibit and parking demand schedule, illustrates the location of the secured private off site parking lots, 200 off-site public parking spaces within 300 -feet of the subject site and provides the times when the demand for parking is expected to be the greatest. The parking demand is expected to peak in June through mid-August when classes and or performances are scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and when up to 177 persons may be present (including students, cast, patrons and volunteers), requiring 59 parking spaces based upon one parking space for every three seats for a place of public assembly. The second highest demand is expected on Friday and Saturday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. and Sunday from 1:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. when up to 126 persons may be present resulting in a need for 42 parking spaces.
