City of Grapevine provide that the next ensuing first Tuesday in
April, there shall be elected the following officials for this
City:

Election Code of the State of Texas Is applicable to said election,
and in order to comply with said Code, an order should be

THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TE St
That all independent candidates at the elections to be held on the
first Tuesday in April, 1958, for the above named offices file
their applications to become candidates with the Mayor or City
Secretary of this City at the City Hall, Grapevine, Texas, on or
before 30 days from the date of said elections®
That all of said applications shall be substantially in the fol-
lowing form*

ballot for the elections to be held on the It day of April,

Constitution of this State and have resided in this State
for a period of twelve months and six Months in the City
of Grapevine and have been ars actual bona fide citizen of
the said City for six months or more gust preeeeding this
application.

provisionsThat the City Secretary shall, in accordance with the terms and
of = Election Code,post in his office the names of
all candidates who have been certified to him by the Chairman
of the Executive Committee of any party holding a convention or
primary election for said above mentioned offices, and the names
of all independent candidates who have filed their applications
in accordance with th„ termsa • provisions of order, and
said nares shall be posted at a conspicuous place in said office
for at least 10 days before said secretary orders the sane to be
printed on the ballot for said election.
This City, having one election precinct, said election shall be
held at the City Hall Building, Grapevine, 'Texas.
The City Secretary is hereby authorized and instructed to provide
and furnish all necessary supplies and person el to conduct said
election. Sais supplies and personnel shall be furnished at the
expense of the General Fund of the City of Grapevine.
The Mayor shall issue all necessary orders, writs and notices
for said election and returns of said election shall be rade
to this Council immediately after the closing of the polls.
