This letter confirms on November 3, 2022 the Historic Preservation Staff approved with
conditions #CA22-64 for the property addressed 306 Austin Street, legally described as Block
106, Lot 7 & 8, College Heights Addition, City of Grapevine, to the Grapevine Historic
Preservation Ordinance 91-73 (Appendix G — Grapevine Code of Ordinances), as amended,
for the following:
1. Remove the existing front wrap -around porch decking to prepare the house for
foundation repairs;
2. Remove the existing back porch decking to prepare the house for foundation repairs;
3. Lift the house and level it during foundation repair and set it at a new finish floor height
of approximately 12-18 Inches higher than its current height;
as per the attached plan and photos with the condition the front wrap -around porch
roof be supported with temporary posts during lifting and a permit is obtained from
the Building Department.
An approved Certificate of Appropriateness is not an approved building permit; a
building permit is / is not required. Contact the City of Grapevine's Building
Department at 817.410.3165 for fees and information regarding permits.
