• DHL for Scott's Landing Marina from Sand Bass Point to Farris
Branch Boat Ramp
Murrell Road Residents for Murrell Road
• Covey's Promotions Inc. for Kimball Road, from Silvercrest Drive to
Lakeridge Drive
• A Prompt Computer Service, Inc. for Northwest Highway, from Dove
Road to Park Boulevard
Francis Family for SH 26, from Kimball Road to Mustang Drive
Hoewa'a Outrigger Canoe Club for Katie's Woods, from the boat
ramp to Vineyard View
D. Consider renewal of the following Adopt -An -Area agreements:
• Box Insurance Agency for Wall Street, from SH 114 to Dove Road
• Marty & Tia Metzger for Oak Grove Loop, from Dove Loop SE to
Dove Loop NW

The City of Grapevine Parks & Recreation Advisory Board met Thursday, February 21,
2013 at 6:00 p.m. at the City Manager's Conference Room, 200 South Main Street,
Grapevine, Texas with the following members present, to wit:
Larry Francis
Ray Harris
Lawrence Baker
Roy Robertson
Dave Buhr
John Dalri
Elizabeth Kaufman
Debra Tridico
Absent: Debra Tridico
Staff: Doug Evans, Director of Parks & Recreation
Joe Moore, Assistant Director of Parks & Recreation
Chris Smith, Recreation Superintendent
Guests: Steve Blackburn, President of Barker, Rinker, Seacat
The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Dave Buhr at 6:00 p.m.
A moment of silence was observed for the invocation.
Approval of Minutes
A motion was made by Larry Francis and seconded by John Dalri to approve the
minutes of the January 10, 2013 meeting. Motion passed 7-0.
Ayes — Francis, Baker, Buhr, Kaufman, Harris, Robertson and Dalri
Nays - None
Citizen Requests
There were no citizen requests.
New Business
CAC Expansion/Renovation
Chris Smith introduced Steve Blackburn, President of Barker, Rinker, Seacat, who gave
a project update for the CAC. The site design is scheduled for completion in 4 weeks.
Dove Park Improvements
Doug gave an update on The Dove Park Pool. The floor has been poured and ready for
the next step. The name change for the pool was discussed but no vote was taken.
Adopt -An -Area Agreements
Motion by John Dalri and seconded by Lawrence Baker to approve the attached Adopt -
An -Area Agreements.
Ayes — Baker, Buhr, Kaufman, Harris, Robertson and Dalri
Nays— None
Abstain — Francis
Adopt -An -Area Renewals
Motion was made by Larry Francis and seconded by Elizabeth Kaufman to renew the
attached agreements.
Ayes — Francis, Baker, Buhr, Kaufman, Harris, Robertson and Dalri
Nays - None
Miscellaneous Staff Reports — Doug Evans and Joe Moore (No action taken on items)
• Lake Parks Survey — Doug Evans reported.
• Bike Rack Program — 3 installed so far...
• Doug Evans reported that the Denton Creek Trail erosion work has begun
with 19 piers drilled.
• SH 26 Median Landscaping change has yet to be approved. Also received a
$300,000.00 Grant for this project.
• Cotton Belt Trail has been re -poured except for intersections.
Miscellaneous Board Items (No action taken on items)
• Lawrence Baker reported on Keep Grapevine Beautiful Website, also
working on sustainability program
• Seth reported on GCISD events. Schools were in lock down while the
fugitive was on the loose
• June 13t — National Trails Day
• March 2nd Demo Day for Bikes @ McPherson Slough
Adjourn
Motion was made by Larry Francis and seconded by John Dalri to adjourn. Motion
passed 7-0. Time: 7:09 p.m.
