The City of Grapevine Parks & Recreation Advisory Board met June 20, 2013 at 6:00
p.m. at the City Manager's Conference Room, 200 South Main Street, Grapevine,
Texas with the following members present, to -wit:
Dave Buhr
John Dalri
Elizabeth Kaufman
Terry Musar
with the following members absent:
Larry Francis
Ray Harris
Debra Tridico
Gary Humble
Roy Robertson (Sister Cities trip)
constituting a quorum with the following members of the City Staff:
Joe Moore Assistant Director of Parks & Recreation
Chris Smith Recreation Superintendent
Call to Order
The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Dave Buhr at 6:02 p.m.
A moment of silence was observed.
Approval of Minutes
A motion was made by Ray Harris and seconded by John Dalri to approve the April 18,
2013 minutes at the July 2013 board meeting. Vote passed 5-0.
Ayes — Dave Buhr, John Dalri, Elizabeth Kaufman, Terry Musar, Ray Harris
Nays - None
Absent — Larry Francis, Roy Robertson, Gary Humble, Debra Tridico
Citizen Requests
Travis Smith talked about National Trails Day at Horseshoe Trails, June 1, 2013, event
was 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., and attendance was slow but steady throughout the day, trail work
dates will be coming soon. Travis showed two maps that were requested to get to Joe
so he could email out to board members for comments.
New Business
CAC Expansion 3D Presentation
Chris Smith discussed CAC expansion plans and had power point presentation with
updated images of building.
No action was taken.

Miscellaneous Staff Reports
Joe Moore gave an update on all items listed, plus gave update regarding On -Road
Bike Plan. Ray mentioned he would like board to get an update on locations of the
signs that will be installed as part of the plan.
No action taken.
Miscellaneous Board Items
C. Shane Wilbanks brought in the $250,000 check received from Keep Texas Beautiful
for receiving Governor's Community Achievement Award Category 7 population 45,000-
65,500 and discussed how the money will be used for highway landscaping
beautification.
On June 23, there is a disc golf tournament at Bear Creek which will be used as a
fundraiser for KGVB.
There will be a Luau Fund Raiser at The Vineyards pavilion July 26 for KGVB
No GCISD updates
No action taken on the above items.

Motion was made by Debra Tridico and seconded by Ray Harris to adjourn the meeting
at 7:15 p.m. Vote passed 6-0.
