HomeMy WebLinkAboutItem 05 - Financial System Support ServicesMEMO TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL FROM: BRUNO RUMBELOW, CITY MANAGER MEETING DATE: JANUARY 3, 2023 SUBJECT: APPROVAL TO RENEW AN ANNUAL CONTRACT FOR FINANCIAL SYSTEM SUPPORT SERVICES RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider the renewal of an annual contract for financial system support services with OPENGOV Financials (formerly STW, Inc.) for the Fiscal Services Department. FUNDING SOURCE: Funds for this purchase are available in the General Fund and the Enterprise Utility Fund for an estimated amount of $40,000. BACKGROUND: The purpose of this agreement is to provide on -going services for the City's finance system. The agreement provides for basic support services for issues related to the operation of the OPENGOV Financials application software on local computers, related printing issues, application security, and licensing fees. The original agreement was initiated in 1995 with STW, Inc. to provide these services and has been renewed every year since. STW, Inc. was recently purchased by OPENGOV Financials. If approved, this will provide the required financial system services for the 2023 fiscal year annual renewal period. Staff recommends approval. JS/GJ
