Request for future Board items VI. Old Business A. Consider renewal of an Adopt -A -Road agreement with Grapevine Masonic Lodge A.F & A.M. #288 for Hall -Johnson Road from SH 121 to Pool Road VII. New Business A. Consider approval of an Adopt -A -Road agreement with Edward Jones Investments for Timberline Drive, from Mustang Drive going east one mile B. Discussion regarding a contest identifying parks and facilities in Grapevine C. Discussion of modifications to the Facility Reservation and Community Activities Center policies VIII. DIR OR OF PARKS AND RECREATION CITY OF GRAPEVINE COUNTY OF TARRANT STATE OF TEXAS The City of Grapevine Parks and Recreation Board met Thursday, January 20, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall, 200 South Main Street, Grapevine, Texas with the following members present, to wit: Art Pierce Hayden Smith Larry Fran& Ryan Wade Larry Atchley Dr. Curtis Ratliff Dr. Edith Pewitt Barbara Johnson Julie Florence Roy Robertson 1WA1.:1TETIN Staff: Jeff Kirkhuff Doug Evans Joe Moore Lori Smeby Kelly Allensworth Guests: Nancy Stage Megan Gaffney The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. A motion was made by Edith Pewitt and seconded by Larry Frances to amend the November 11, 1999 minutes stating "Larry Atchley seconded the motion to cancel the December meeting..." to say "Roy Robertson seconded the motion...". The motion passed unanimously. Presentation of the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation Local Athlete of the Year award for swimming was made to Megan Gaffney. Request for Future Board Items ♦ GCISD — City— Joint Use Agreement ♦ Park Name Contest ♦ Adopt -A -Tree Farm ♦ Adopt -An -Area Report Old Business Motion was made by Larry Francis and seconded by Barbara Johnson to renew the Adopt - A -Road agreement with Grapevine Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M. #288 for Hall Johnson Road. The motion passed unanimously. Motion was made by Dr. Edith Pewitt and seconded by Ryan Wade to approve the Adopt - A -Road agreement with Edward Jones Investments from Mustang Drive going east one mile along Timberline. The motion passed unanimously. Larry Francis presented the park contest. He will meet with Jennifer Hibbs on using the Grapevine newsletter and will come back with information to the Board next month. Miscellaneous staff reports were given. A motion was made by Larry Francis and seconded by Julie Florence to adjourn. Old Business A. Discussion regardinq a contest identifying parks and facilities in Grapevine Board Member Larry Francis brought this up two meetings ago and staff has some new information to get the program kicked off. B. Discussion regarding Community Activities Center Policies The Board discussed this briefly at the last meeting and staff has additional information on the policies. Staff recommends the Board approve the policies. VI. New Business A. Consider an agreement with the Grapevine Garden Club, Inc. for adopting the City's Tree Farm The Parks & Recreation Department has a great working relationship with the Grapevine Garden Club. Members of the club have been very supportive of the department. The Grapevine Garden Club would like to adopt the City's Tree Farm, which is located at the Grapevine Service Center. Staff recommends approval.
