Old Business
A. Main Street Days Promotional Booth
The Library Board, Keep Grapevine Beautiful Board and Parks & Recreation
Advisory Board will review and discuss the items that will be displayed in the
booth at Main Street Days.
B. Discussion relating to the Athletics Facilities Policv
Staff is still working on the best solution to limit play on the athletic fields
when the fields are not in playable condition. By meeting time, staff will have
a recommendation for the Board to consider to amend the current policy.

The City of Grapevine Parks and Recreation Board met Thursday, April 18, 2002 at 7:00
p.m. at the Senior Activities Center, 421 Church Street, Grapevine, Texas with the
following members present, to wit:

The meeting was called to order at 7:08 p.m. by Vice Chairperson Larry Francis. A motion
was made by Stan Hinson and seconded by Barbara Johnson to approve the minutes of
the March 21, 2002 meeting. The motion passed unanimously.
Old Business
A motion was made by Barbara Johnson and seconded by David Benedetto to approve
the renewal of the Adopt -A -Park agreement with the Grapevine Garden Club for the City's
Tree Farm. The motion passed unanimously.
A motion was made by Barbara Johnson and seconded by David Benedetto to approve
the renewal of the Adopt -A -Road agreement with the Unity Church of NE Tarrant County
for Hughes Road. The motion passed unanimously.
Doug Evans gave a report on the revised Athletic Facility Policies. A motion was made by
Ryan Wade and seconded by David Benedetto to table the item. The motion passed
unanimously.
There was discussion on the Promotional Booth for Main Street Days and for a Boating
and Camping Show at Bass Pro Shops. Sign-ups sheets were passed around for these
events.
Miscellaneous Staff Reports
The Board was given an update on the following projects.
• Status of trail projects
• Recreation Events
• Pickering Park Improvements
• Oak Grove Park Improvements
• Parr Park Improvements
A motion was made by Ryan Wade and seconded by David Benedetto to adjourn. The
motion passed unanimously. Time: 7:58 P.M.
