V. New Business
A. Consider renewal of an Adopt -A -Road agreement with Wagon Wheel Ranch
for Ruth Wall Street — from SH 26 to the maintenance entrance to the
Gaylord Texan
The application is attached for review. Due to the Ruth Wall being under
construction over the past couple of years, Wagon Wheel Ranch did not pick
up litter. However, now that construction is complete, they would like to
begin picking up litter again. Staff recommends approval.
B. Consider amending Chapter 16, Section 16-2 of the Grapevine Code of
Ordinances relating to the student ex -officio member of the Parks &
Recreation Advisor Board
Currently, the paragraph in Section 16-2 that relates to the student ex officio
member of the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board says that the student
shall be from either Grapevine High School or Colleyville Heritage High
School. Staff recommends deleting the wording referencing either of the
above high schools and simply state that the student must reside in
Grapevine. Staff also recommends modifying the section relating to the
appointment on an annual basis to a minimum of a one-year term and a
maximum of a two-year term. Attached is what the ordinance currently reads
and what staff recommends.
C. Discussion regarding Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting celebrations for the new
fountain at the Botanical Gardens and the hike and bike trails
The Board will discuss possible grand opening celebrations for the new
facilities above and committees to plan each of the events.
D. Consider a new logo for the Adopt-A-Road/Park Program and the size of
signage for the Adopt -A -Road Program
The Board will discuss a new logo for the programs above and the size of the
signage for the Adopt -A -Road program.
