Approval of Minutes Debra Tridico Ray Harris Lawrence Baker Margie Mitchell A motion was made by John Dalri and seconded by Margie Mitchell to approve the minutes of the September 22, 2005 meeting. Motion passed unanimously. Citizen Requests • Comment from Michael Morris — Michael gave a compliment on the Concert in the Park Series and hopes it continues. Old Business A. Joe Moore gave an update on the progress with the renovations at The Vineyards Campground on Lake Grapevine. B. Joe Moore gave an update on the design of the amenities approved for Katie's Woods Boat Ramp. New Business A. Consider approval of an Adopt -A -Park application with the Grapevine High School Transition Class for Parkwood Park A motion was made by Debra Tridico and seconded by Margie Mitchell to approve the Adopt -A -Park application with the Grapevine High School Transition Class for Parkwood Park. Motion passed unanimously. B. Discuss the need for a December meeting Discussion ensued about canceling the December meeting. A motion was made by Ray Harris and seconded by John Dalri to cancel the December meeting due to the holidays. Motion passed unanimously. Miscellaneous Board Reports There were no Board reports. Miscellaneous Staff Reports • Joe Moore gave a report on the Big Bear Creek and Oak Grove trails. • Joe Moore gave a report on Christmas activities — Carol of Lights & meals with Santa. • Joe Moore gave a report on Halloween on Main Street. • Joe Moore gave a report on Keep Grapevine Beautiful. • Joe Moore gave a reminder of the Botanical Gardens Celebration on November 18, 2005. Director � OF PARKS AND RECREATION C IR OF THE BOARD V. New Business A. Consider approval of a concept plan of Bellaire Park Staff will present the concept plan of Bellaire Park at the meeting. Attached is a list of the current standards for neighborhood parks adopted by the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board in 1994. Also attached is an aerial photo showing the location of the park. B. Consider co-sponsorship of the Grapevine Youth Wrestling and a Facilities Utilization Agreement The Board will discuss the City co -sponsoring the Grapevine Youth Wrestling and a Facilities Utilization Agreement with the group. The agreement is attached for review. C. Consider renewal of an Adopt -A -Road applications with the Western Oaks III Homeowner's Association for River Oaks Drive and Western Oaks Drive The application and report forms are attached for review. Staff recommends approval. D. Consider renewal of an Adopt -A -Road application with the Belfort Homeowner's Association for Heritage Avenue from Hall -Johnson to Big Bear Creek The application and report forms are attached for review. Staff recommends approval. E. Consider renewal of an Adopt -A -Trail application from Jean Titus for the C Shane Wilbanks Trail from Horseshoe Trails to Kimball Road The application and report forms are attached for review. Staff recommends approval. F. Consider renewal of an Adopt -A -Road agreement with the Grapevine Elementary School Student Council for Hall -Johnson Road from SH 121 to Hughes Road The application and report forms are attached for review. Staff recommends approval.
