A. Presentation on potential Capital Projects for Parks & Recreation
Staff will give a powerpoint presentation on potential capital projects for
parks and recreation in Grapevine.
B. Presentation on the Vineyards Campground revenues and expenditures
Staff will give a powerpoint presentation on the revenues and expenditures
at the Vineyards Campground.
C. Consider renewal of an Adopt -A -Park agreement with the Neill Family for Big
Bear Creek Nature Preserve
A copy of the application and report form are attached for review. Staff
recommends approval.
D. Consider approval of an Adopt -A -Park agreement with Grapevine Excursions
for the shoreline near Katie's Woods Boat Ramp
A copy of the application is attached for review. Staff recommends approval.
E. Consider approval of an Adopt -A -Road agreement with Aaron D. Lopez and
Son for Wall Street. from Main Street to Texan Trail

The City of Grapevine Parks and Recreation Board met Thursday, June 15, 2006 at
6:00 p.m. at the Bessie Mitchell Meeting Facility, 411 Ball Street, Grapevine, Texas with
the following members present, to wit:

The meeting was called to order at 6:04.
Invocation
A moment of silence was observed.
Approval of Minutes
Roy Robertson
Ray Harris
Leon Leal
Susan Pittman
Joe Moore
A motion was made by Debra Tridico and seconded by Roy Robertson to approve the
minutes of the May 18, 2006 meeting. Motion passed unanimously.
Citizen Requests
Michael Morris commented on the Adopt -A -Shoreline requested by Grapevine
Excursion.
New Business
Doug Evans gave a presentation on potential Capital Projects for Parks & Recreation.
Joe Moore gave a presentation on the Vineyards Campground revenues and
expenditures.
A motion was made by Roy Robertson and seconded by John Dalri to approve the
renewal of an Adopt -A -Park agreement with the Neill Family for Big Bear Creek Nature
Preserve. The motion passed unanimously.
A motion was made by Leon Leal and seconded by Debra Tridico to approve an Adopt -
A -Park agreement with Grapevine Excursions for the shoreline near Katie's Woods Boat
Ramp. The motion passed unanimously.
A motion was made by Debra Tridico and seconded by John Dalri to approve an Adopt -
A -Road agreement with Aaron D. Lopez and Son for Wall Street, from Main Street to
Texan Trail. The motion passed unanimously.
Miscellaneous Board Reports
• Roy Robertson reported that there was more policing going on around the lake —
alcohol, speeding, etc.
• Leon Leal reported that Sarah Waldrop graduated and that a new Student Liaison is
needed.
Miscellaneous Staff Reports
• Doug Evans gave an update on Katie's Woods Boat Ramp.
• In reference to the Paddle, Pedal and Pound the Pavement Triathlon, Roy gave an
update on traffic central and Ray gave a report on the logistics. Doug Evans
commented that it was a good race.
• Joe Moore reported on Keep Grapevine Beautiful.
A motion was made by Ray Harris and seconded by Debra Tridico to adjourn. The
motion passed unanimously. Time: 7:18 p.m.

VII. New Business
A. Presentation of the financial and participation reports from the Grapevine
Girls Softball Association, Grapevine Pee Wee Football Association and the
Grapevine/Southlake Soccer Association, Grapevine Youth Baseball and
Grapevine Youth Wrestling
Included in your packets are the reports that were available to staff when the
packets were mailed to you. Members of each of the associations have
been invited to the meeting to explain the reports and to answer any
questions the Board Members may have.
B. Consider approval of an Adopt -A -Road agreement with the Northeast
Neighborhood Association for Katie's Woods Drive, from Redbud Lane to
Dunn Street
The agreement is attached for review. Staff recommends approval.
C. Consider renewal of an Adopt -A -Park aareement with the Friends of Oak
Grove Park for Oak Grove Park, from the Oak grove Soccer Parking lot to
Dove Loop
The agreement and report form are attached for review. Staff recommends
approval.
D. Discussion regarding the meeting day and time for the Parks & Recreation
Advisory Board meetings
This Board will discuss the date and time of the meetings.
