R OF PARKS & RECREATION CITY OF GRAPEVINE COUNTY OF TARRANT STATE OF TEXAS The City of Grapevine Parks and Recreation Board met Saturday, November 11, 2006 at 8:00 a.m. at the Grapevine Senior Activities Center, 421 Church Street, Grapevine, Texas with the following members present, to wit: Larry Francis Susan Pittman John Dalri Absent: Gary DeGeorge Leon Leal Staff: Doug Evans The meeting was called to order at 8:04 a.m. Invocation A moment of silence was observed. Approval of Minutes Roy Robertson Lawrence Baker Ray Harris Debra Tridico Diana Siminski Joe Moore A motion was made by Roy Robertson and seconded by Lawrence Baker to approve the minutes of the September 28, 2006 meeting. Motion passed unanimously. Citizen Requests No citizen requests were mentioned. New Business A motion was made by Larry Francis and seconded by Susan Pittman to approve the renewal of an Adopt -A -Road agreement with Jim and Barbara Johnson for Snakey Lane. The motion passed unanimously. Report on "Parks Support Day at the Capitol' — January 17, 2007 Staff will give a report on the events that took place at the Capitol relating to parks and recreation. B. Consider a policy on Background Checks on Recreation Program Instructors Chris Smith will present this item to the Board. Background materials are included in your packets. C. Discuss the findings of the Economic Impact of Parks & Recreation prepared by the Perryman Group A summary of the report is included in your packets. Staff has a powerpoint presentation on the study and staff will hit the highlights.
