The City of Grapevine Parks and Recreation Board met Thursday, February 19, 2009
at 6:00 p.m. at the Bessie Mitchell Meeting Facility, 411 Ball Street, Grapevine, Texas
with the following members present, to wit:
Ray Harris
Elizabeth Kaufman
Larry Francis
Dave Buhr
John Dalri
Debra Tridico
Bob Tipton
Lawrence Baker
Absent: Roy Robertson
Staff: Doug Evans
Joe Moore
The meeting was called to order at 6:02 p.m.
Invocation
A moment of silence was observed.
Approval of Minutes
A motion was made by Larry Francis and seconded by Bob Tipton to approve the
minutes of the January 15, 2009 meeting. Motion passed unanimously.
Citizen Requests
There were no Citizen Requests.
New Business
Doug Evans explained the status of the lease on Rockledge Park. The plan is to take
the lease to the City Council on March 3'd
Doug Evans explained that the City has received a Boating Access Grant for $271,000
with a $90,000 match for the Meadowmere Park boat ramp, tournament and parking.

Motion was made by John Dalri and seconded by Larry Francis to approve an Adopt -
An -Area agreement with Dave Buhr for Hall -Johnson Road, from SH 121 to Parr Road.
Motion passed with 6 For and 1 Abstain.
Motion was made by Larry Francis and seconded by John Dalri to approve an Adopt -
An -Area agreement with Mad Duck Cyclery for Dove Loop, from Dove Road to Dooley
Street. Motion passed unanimously.
Miscellaneous Board Reports
Shelby Freyou shared events at Grapevine High School on the flood.
Ray Harris — RAW — had a Red Dress race at Oak Grove on April 20th
Miscellaneous Staff Reports
• Dave Buhr reported that there were cyclists in suits in Austin on April 20tH
• Doug Evans reported on the construction of the Oak Grove Ballfield Complex and
reported that they will start filling the pond on Monday.
• Doug Evans reported on improvements at the Oak Grove Soccer Complex and
went over the Parking Lot, Irrigation, Restroom and Sewer.
• Doug Evans reported on playground improvements at Austin Oaks Park, Parkwood
Park, Parr Park and at Soccer Complex.
• Elizabeth Kaufman reported on the March 7th Community Clean-up Meeting at
Dove and Parr Parks with Electronic Recycling. The Phi Theta Kappa cleanup is
April 15n
A motion was made by Larry Francis and seconded by Debra Tridico to adjourn. The
motion passed unanimously. Time: 6:36 p.m.
