The City of Grapevine Parks and Recreation Board met Thursday, April 8, 2010 at 5:30
p.m. at the Senior Activities Center, 421 Church Street, Grapevine, Texas with the following
members present, to wit:
Debra Tridico Lawrence Baker
Roy Robertson Elizabeth Kaufman
David Buhr John Dalri
Ray Harris
Absent: Larry Francis Bob Tipton
Staff: Doug Evans Joe Moore
The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m.
Invocation
A moment of silence was observed.
Approval of Minutes
A motion was made by Ray Harris and seconded by John Dalri to approve the minutes of the
March 11, 2010 meeting. Motion passed unanimously.
Citizen Comments
There were no citizen comments.
New Business
Discussion ensued regarding the Bear Creek Park Disc Golf Course. Doug Evans reported
that the meeting with the disk golfers went very good. The subject is to be brought back to
the board in May with regard to getting some work done.
The citizens survey for the update of the Open Space Master Plan was discussed. Staffing is
associated with some of the elements, if implemented. Some suggestions for the survey
were:
• #20 on survey — Allow room for comments, add some lines.
• Add general comments section at bottom of survey.
• Retiree Programs — Expand or remove for consideration.
• #9 — Add `Never' as a choice.

Motion was made by Ray Harris and seconded by Elizabeth Kaufman to change the date of
the May meeting to the 13th, due to conflicts with Main Street Days. Motion passed
unanimously.
A motion was made by Ray Harris and seconded by John Dalri to adjourn for tour of the
proposed hike and bike trails in Grapevine. The motion passed unanimously. Time: 5:55
p.m.

V. Old Business

The Board toured the city on April 8"' to see proposed hike and bike trails in
Grapevine. The Board will consider adopting a plan to send to the City
Council for consideration. Attached is the Master Plan.

Copies of the agreements and report forms are attached for review.
• Bear Creek Disc Golfers for the Bear Creek Park Disc Golf Course
• Grapevine Dirty Dozen for Dallas Road, from Main Street to Baylor
Parkway
• First Baptist Church Grapevine for Parr Park Trail, from Old Mill Run
to Pool Road
• MB & Kathleen Morris for C. J. Hutchins Park
• The Telephone Connection for various roads near Katie's Woods
B. Consider approval of the followina Adopt -An -Area aareements
• Girl Scout Troop 1401 and 1498 for Kimball Road, from Silvercrest
Lane eastbound to Lakeridge Drive and Forest Hills Road
• Randy Wolf for Lake Grapevine shoreline, from McPherson Slough
Boat Ramp to Dove Loop Boat Ramp
• First United Methodist Church Grapevine for Morehead Branch Creek,
from College Street to Northwest Highway
