Miscellaneous Board announcements CITY OF GRAPEVINE COUNTY OF TARRANT STATE OF TEXAS The City of Grapevine Parks and Recreation Board met Thursday, May 13, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at the Senior Activities Center, 421 Church Street, Grapevine, Texas with the following members present, to wit: Ray Harris Roy Robertson Larry Francis Lawrence Baker Absent: Dave Buhr Staff: Doug Evans The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. Invocation A moment of silence was observed. Approval of Minutes John Dalri Debra Tridico Elizabeth Kaufman Bob Tipton (arrived 6:09) Af•77�L• • - A motion was made by John Dalri and seconded by Ray Harris to approve the minutes of the April 8, 2010 meeting. Motion passed unanimously. Citizen Requests There were no citizen requests. Old Business Doug Evans gave a presentation on the Hike & Bike Trail Master Plan and discussion ensued. A motion was made by Elizabeth Kaufman and seconded by Ray Harris to approve the Master Plan for Hike and Bike Trails in Grapevine. Motion was made by Roy Robertson and seconded by E ' n to adopt the attached list as the top five priorities for trail projects, in no certain order. Miscellaneous Board announcements A plaque was presented to Shelby Freyou as outgoing Student Liaison to the Park Board. Next month's Park Board meeting will be June 24th Adiourn A motion was made by Larry Francis and seconded by John Dalri to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously. Consider appointment of the Student Ex -Officio Member of the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board The Board will consider appointment of Ms. Samantha Cloud, 4104 Bentley Court, Grapevine, Tx. as the Student Ex -Officio Member of the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board. Her application is attached. B Consider renewal of Adopt -An -Area agreements The agreements are attached for review. Staff recommends approval. C. Consider approval of Adopt -An -Area agreements The agreements are attached for review. Staff recommends approval. D. Update on the Adopt -An -Area Program Mary Jo Tellin will update the Board on the participation in the program and recommendations for future agreements.
