General conversation followed regarding traffic flow of vehicles and boats, how the trail would affect neighborhoods and the size of the road. Doug Evans followed up with the broader vision of how lake traffic counts were way up as paid parks were driving visitors to unpaid locations and that a key to trail enhancements was their approval of the Bike & Trail Master Plan. Once the master plan is approved, the board can start looking at improvements. Doug Evans reported that 550 surveys were in and feedback should be available to the board next month. Linkage had been rated quite high in the past. Several members thanked Beth for her thorough report. Roy Robertson commented that respect for the parks system had grown substantially since he first served on the board. Dave Buhr suggested future focus be on bikers sharing the road with vehicles.
