The City of Grapevine Parks & Recreation Advisory Board met Thursday, August
19, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at the Bessie Mitchell Meeting Facility, 411 Ball Street,
Grapevine, Texas with the following members present, to wit:

Bob Tipton
Roy Robertson
Elizabeth Kaufman
Absent: John Dalri
Staff: Joe Moore
David Buhr
Ray Harris
Lawrence Baker
Debra Tridico
Mary Jo Tellin
The meeting was called to order at 6:02 p.m.
Bob Tipton gave an invocation.
Approval of Minutes
A motion was made by Elizabeth Kaufman and seconded by Debra Tridico to
approve the minutes of the July 15, 2010 meeting. Motion passed unanimously.
Citizen Requests
• Travis Smith applied for a grant through IMBA —'Trail Tune Up Grant' for
$2,000 for a new kiosk and September notification.
• Trail Ranger Program — Volunteer program to monitor trails.
Presentations
Mary Jo Tellin gave a presentation on Greener Cleaner Grapevine. Litter
programs are working. Keep Grapevine Beautiful is now moving into
beautification and education. September 25th will be the Campaign Kickoff at the
City Wide Garage Sale.
Joe Moore made a presentation on the Citizens Survey and the Master Plan
Update.
New Business
Motion was made by Elizabeth Kaufman and seconded by Ray Harris to approve
the Adopt -An -Area agreement with Box Insurance Agency for Wall Street, from
Park Blvd. to Dove Road. Motion passed unanimously.
Motion was made by Debra Tridico and seconded by Bob Tipton to approve
renewal of an Adopt -An -Area agreement with the Belfort Homeowners
Association for Heritage Avenue, from Hall -Johnson to Big Bear Creek and with
the Perry Family for Hughes Road, from Hall -Johnson to Euless/Grapevine
Road. Motion passed unanimously.
Miscellaneous Staff Reports
• Joe Moore gave an update on the status of the Meadowmere Park low
water boat ramp.
• Joe Moore gave an update on the status of the Vineyards Campground
construction.
• Jorge Rodriguez reported that Elaine Cogburn is the new CFO.
A motion was made by Debra Tridico and seconded by Elizabeth Kaufman to
adjourn. Motion passed unanimously. Time: 7:13 p.m.

VI. New Business
A. Consider a date for a tour of the Vineyards Campground for the October
meeting
The Board will consider a date in October for the tour and hamburger feed.
B. Consider approval of the following Adopt -An -Area agreements
Copies of the agreement are attached. Staff recommends approval.
C. Consider renewal of an Adopt -An -Area agreement with the Glade Crossing
Homeowners Association for Baze Road. from Hughes Road to Glade Road
A copy of the agreement is attached. Staff recommends approval.
