The City of Grapevine Parks & Recreation Advisory Board met November 19, 2015 at
6:00 p.m. in The REC of Grapevine Administration Conference Room, 1175 Municipal
Way, Grapevine, Texas with the following members present, to -wit:

The meeting was called to order at 6:02 p.m.
A moment of silence was observed.

Approval of Minutes
A motion was made by Roy Robertson and seconded by John Dalri to approve the
October 15, 2015 minutes. Motion passed 8-0.

Tridico, Gary Humble, and Dave Buhr

There were no citizen requests.
New Business
Consider Approval of the following renewal Adopt -An -Area Agreements
A motion was made by Debra Tridico and seconded by Roy Robertson to approve the
renewal Adopt -An -Area agreement. Motion passed 8-0.
Georjean Sheriff for Lakeview Park
PARD Informational Items (No Action Taken)
The REC of Grapevine Update — Kevin Mitchell reported on the following:
Current work items being done at The REC include irrigation/landscape and punch list.
Lake Park Update — Kevin Mitchell reported on the following:
Rockledge Park, The Vineyards Campground, Lakeview Park, Meadowmere Park,
Katie's Woods, Oak Grove baseball/softball fields, Twawick Pavilion, Minnow Loop
area, and Sandbass Point.
Capital Project Update — Kevin Mitchell reported on the following:
Mr. Mitchell gave an update on current and future capital improvement projects that
included The REC, Links Hike & Bike Trail, Parr Park Trail & roadway, connector
landscape, Wall -Farrar Nature Park, Rockledge Park, Dog Park, Playground Shade,
and Municipal Trail. The budgeted total for these projects is $4.54 million. Mr. Mitchell
announced there will be a community input session held at The REC for the Sunshine
Harbor Park renovation on Thursday, December 17 at 7 PM.
Miscellaneous Board Items (No action taken)
Keep Grapevine Beautiful (KGVB) — Dave Buhr reported on the following:
The Christmas party will be held at the next meeting on December 14. Lori Clark is the
new elected President.
GCISD Report — Becky St. John was not present.
High School Student (GHS) Report — Abby Sandy reported the following:
Saturday, November 21, Barnes and Noble in Southlake will host a book fair to raise
funds for the Grapevine High School library. GHS girls cross country & tennis won in
state.

Motion was made by John Dalri and seconded by Larry Francis to adjourn the meeting
at 7:16 p.m. Motion passed 8-0.
