New Business A) Consider renewal of the following Adopt -An -Area agreements: • Joseph Campbell for Roberts Street, from Hall -Johnson Road to Birch • Gene & Joan Bledsoe, Mustang Boulevard from William D. Tate to Heritage B) Consider the following new Adopt -An -Area agreements: • Jonathan Gaspard for the Northeast Tarrant Young Republicans, Texan Trail from Wall Street to Dallas Road • Gib Georgeff, Oak Grove South to Scott's Landing • Esparza Family, Scott's Marina Shoreline from Sand Bass Point Southeast past Ferris Branch boat ramp VI. Presentation • Aquatics — Trent Kelley, Jennifer Kashner, Jennifer Blackstock, & Hunter Hardeman VII. Kevi itchell, Director of Parks & Recreation CITY OF GRAPEVINE COUNTY OF TARRANT STATE OF TEXAS The City of Grapevine Parks & Recreation Advisory Board met October 15, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. in The REC of Grapevine Administration Conference Room, 1175 Municipal Way, Grapevine, Texas with the following members present, to -wit: MEMBERS Ray Harris, Chairman Roy Robertson Larry Francis John Dalri Terry Musar Krystyna Plut Debra Tridico Gary Humble Dave Buhr LIAISONS Mike Lease (City Council) Abby Sandy (Student — GHS) Constituting a quorum with the following members of the City Staff: Kevin Mitchell Director of Parks & Recreation Chris Smith Deputy Director Trent Kelley Facilities Manager Randy Sell Lake Parks Manager Jennifer Kashner Aquatics Supervisor Jennifer Blackstock Aquatics Program Coordinator Hunter Hardeman Lifeguard Operations Coordinator The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. A moment of silence was observed. Approval of Minutes A motion was made by Larry Francis and seconded by Roy Robertson to approve the August 20, 2015 minutes. Motion passed 9-0. Ayes — Ray Harris, Roy Robertson, Larry Francis, John Dalri, Terry Musar, Krystyna Plut, Debra Tridico, Gary Humble, and Dave Buhr Nays— None Citizen Requests Elizabeth Kaufman was present to express her concern for the women's locker room at The REC. New Business Consider Approval of the following renewal Adopt -An -Area Agreements A motion was made by John Dalri and seconded by Larry Francis to approve the renewal Adopt -An -Area agreements. Motion passed 9-0. • Joseph Campbell for Roberts Street, from Hall -Johnson Road to Birch • Gene & Joan Bledsoe, Mustang Boulevard from William D. Tate to Heritage Consider the following new Adopt -An -Area Agreements A motion was made by Debra Tridico and seconded by Krystyna Plut to approve the new Adopt -An -Area agreements. PARD Informational Items (No Action Taken) The REC of Grapevine Update — Kevin Mitchell Lake Parks — Randy Sell Trail updates — Kevin Mitchell Miscellaneous Board Items (no action taken) City Council — Councilman, Mike Lease, reported on the following: He commended the PARD staff for all of their effort and hard work, due to the devastating flood. Mike stated a new Council member liaison will be chosen to represent Park Board, at the November 3 City Council meeting. Keep Grapevine Beautiful (KGVB) — Dave Buhr reported on the following: KGVB board meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month. There are current openings on the board and elections for openings as well as budgeting will be determined at next month's meeting, November 5. GCISD Report — Becky St. John High School Student (GHS) Report — Abby Sandy Adjourn Motion was made by Larry Francis and seconded by Debra Tridico to adjourn the meeting at 7:07 p.m. Motion passed 9-0.
