The City of Grapevine Parks & Recreation Advisory Board met June 19, 2014 at 6:00
p.m. at the City Manager's Conference Room, 200 South Main Street, Grapevine,
Texas with the following members present, to -wit:

The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m.

Approval of Minutes
A motion was made by Ray Harris and seconded by Elizabeth Kaufman to approve the
May 15, 2014 minutes. Motion passed 7-0.
Ayes — Roy Robertson, Ray Harris, John Dalri, Terry Musar, Elizabeth Kaufman, Dave
Buhr and Gary Humble.
Nays— None
Absent — Debra Tridico and Larry Francis
Citizen Requests
There were no citizen requests.
New Business
A motion was made by Dave Buhr and seconded by John Dalri to reschedule the July
17, 2014 meeting to July 24, 2014, and cancel the August meeting. Motion passed 7-0.
Ayes — Roy Robertson, Ray Harris, John Dalri, Terry Musar, Elizabeth Kaufman, Dave
Buhr and Gary Humble.
Nays - None
Absent — Debra Tridico and Larry Francis
A motion was made by Dave Buhr and seconded by Terry Musar to approve the
following Adopt -An -Agreement. Motion passed 7-0.

Presentations (No Action Taken)
Randy Sell introduced Paul Gray with Rise Adventures. Paul Gray presented
information about their Rise Adventures program at Meadowmere Park, which is geared
towards persons with physical challenges. This program is offered free to all
participants and families.
Miscellaneous Staff Reports (No Action Taken)
• Athletics - Scott Hardeman updated the board on the following upcoming
tournaments, including the Disc Golf Mini Tournaments at Bear Creek Park and
World Series Tournaments at Oak Grove Park.
• Park Maintenance - Chris Smith reported on Meadowmere Park Restroom, Irrigation
work at the Library, signage, Big Belly Trash Cans and Lakeview Park.
• Community Activities Center Update - Kevin Mitchell reported. A tour of the CAC will
be set up for the Board members.
• Trail Updates - Kevin Mitchell reported on the Links, Bear Creek, and Cotton Belt
trail projects.
• Upcoming Recreation events - Chris Smith reported on the Country Concert Series
at The Vineyards and Dive -In Movie at Dove Waterpark.
• Lake Parks - Randy Sell reported.
Miscellaneous Board Items (No Action Taken)
• Keep Grapevine Beautiful — Dave Buhr reported on the following:
o July 7, 2014 meeting at Dave Buhr's house
o KGVB received a Budlight Grant to fund a beach volleyball court on the beach at
the Vineyards Campground. This project is scheduled for this Saturday, June 21
from 9 am to 1 pm.
• GCISD Report — Becky St. John reported (via email) on the school's parking lot,
which is used by Dove Park patrons.
• GCISD Student Report— Adam Sandy reported that school is officially out.
No action taken on the above items.

Motion was made by Ray Harris and seconded by Elizabeth Kaufman to adjourn the
meeting at 7:15 p.m. Motion passed 7-0.
