Any person who is not scheduled on the agenda may address the City Council
under Citizen Comments or on any other agenda item by completing a Citizen
Appearance Request form with the City Secretary. A member of the public may
address the City Council regarding an item on the agenda either before or during
the Council's consideration of the item, upon being recognized by the Mayor or
upon the consent of the City Council. In accordance with the Texas Open
Meetings Act, the City Council is restricted in discussing or taking action during
Citizen Comments.

Development Division, Texas Historical Commission (THC)
4. WORKSHOP
A. Introduction to historic preservation and the THC;
B. What is a historic resources survey and why is it important;
C. Overview of the state historic rehabilitation tax credit;
D. Roles and responsibilities of the Commission and Certificate of
Appropriateness review process;
E. Meeting procedures and interacting with applicants during a meeting;
LUNCH will be provided 12 Noon — 12:45 p.m.
F. Grapevine's building types, the key elements of each style, and the importance
of using correct elements when reviewing applicants' plans for landmarked
properties;
G. Preserving historic windows and doors, how they can be restored, and why it
is important to have the appropriate match for the period of the house, building
and/or district.
