This letter confirms on January 16, 2023 the Historic Preservation Commission approved with
conditions #CA22-60(B) for the property addressed 608 South Dooley Street, legally
described as Block 23, Lot 2R2, City of Grapevine, to the Grapevine Historic Preservation
Ordinance 91-73 (Appendix G — Grapevine Code of Ordinances), as amended, for the
following. -
Remove the existing turned spindles and rails on the first and second floor porches;
2. On the first and second floor porches, replace turned spindles with 2" x 2" square
wood spindles and a wood rail at top and bottom-, top rail to have a chamfered wood
cap-,
as per the attached historic photo and sketch with the conditions the contractor and Historic
Preservation Officer approve a railing mock-up at the site prior to construction-, and a building
permit is obtained from the Building Department.
An approved Cerficate of Appropriateness is not an approved building permit; a
building permit i / is not required. Contact the City of Grapevine's Building
Department at 817.410.3165 for fees and information regarding permits.
