HomeMy WebLinkAboutItem 19 - Library FurnitureMEMO TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL FROM: BRUNO RUMBELOW, CITY MANAGER MEETING DATE: FEBRUARY 7, 2023 SUBJECT: REPLACEMENT OFFICE FURNITURE FOR THE LIBRARY RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider approval for the purchase of replacement office furniture from Demco, Inc. for the Grapevine Library. FUNDING SOURCE: Funds are available in the General Fund (Library) for a total amount not to exceed $50,716. BACKGROUND: This purchase is for replacement and installation of tables and chairs in the quiet study and periodicals areas of the library. This purchase will be made in accordance with existing interlocal agreement with The Local Government Purchasing Cooperative (BuyBoard) as allowed by Texas Local Government Code, Section 271 and Texas Government Code, Chapter 791. Bids were taken by the Cooperative and a contract was awarded to Demco, Inc. The Library and Purchasing staff reviewed the contract for departmental specification compliance and pricing and determined that the contract would provide the best service and pricing for meeting the needs of the City.
