Approval of Minutes A motion was made to approve the January 19, 2023 meeting minutes. GCISD Student Liaison Update 2 Aubrey Alexander was absent but provided a written update. Updates included student leadership participation at the Founders Day Luncheon on February 16. GCISC Board Liaison Kathy Spradley provided an update for GCISD. Updates included Starrs of GCISD recognition, Grapevine Middle School received the Stem School of Excel lenceAward, Bran sford Elementary School performed at the Texas Music Educators Association, swim & dive update, wrestling update, and the next GCISD School Board Meeting dates. Parks and Recreation Update Chris Smith provided a Parks and Recreation update. Updates included Vol u n teer Appreciation Day, the 100 Year Anniversary Celebration of the library, Grapevine Parks and Recreation staff recognition at the City Council Meeting on March 7, Grapevine Garden Club 90th Anniversary Tree Dedication, State Highway 26 project, Mother Son Date Night, Prehistoric Park, Opening Day at Grapevine Baseball and Softball, the Texas Recreation and Park Society President's Reception for Trent Kelley, and a letter written by a member of The REC highlighting staff and programs. Miscellaneous Update Christian Ross discussed moving the March board meeting due to Spring Break with the board. A motion was made to move the March 16 board meeting to March 23.
