SUBJECT: PURCHASE OF REPLACEMENT TRAILERS
RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider approval for the purchase of replacement trailers
from North Texas Trailers, LLC for the Parks and Recreation Department.
FUNDING SOURCE: Funds will be available in the Capital Projects Grant Fund upon receipt of
insurance proceeds for a total amount not to exceed $21,286.
BACKGROUND: This purchase is for the replacement of enclosed cargo trailers that were
damaged in the tornado and totaled by the insurance company.
This purchase will be made in accordance with an existing interlocal
agreement with The Local Government Purchasing Cooperative (Buy
Board) as allowed by Texas Local Government Code, Chapter 271 and
Texas Government Code, Chapter 791.
Bids were taken by the Cooperative and a contract was awarded to North
Texas Trailers, LLC. The Parks and Purchasing staff reviewed the contract
for departmental specification compliance and pricing and determined that
the contract would best meet the needs of the City.
Staff recommends approval.
