Home My WebLink AboutORD 2006-047 ORDINANCE NO. 2006-47 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, AMENDING THE ADOPTED BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2005 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2006 WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 2005-70, BY ADOPTING A NEW EMPLOYEE PAY PLAN; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas, ("City Council") adopted the 2005-2006 Budget on September 13, 2005 (the "Budget"); and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend the Budget by adopting a new employee pay plan to go in effect on September 3, 2006 (the "New Pay Plan"), attached hereto as Exhibit "A"; and, appropriating funds to pay added costs. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS: Section 1. That the above findings are true and correct and are hereby incorporated into this ordinance. Section 2. That Ordinance No. 2005-70 is hereby amended to approve the New Pay Plan that will go into effect on September 3, 2006. Section 3. That sufficient funds are appropriated in all City operating funds to pay the additional costs associated with implementation of the new pay plan for the period September 3, 2006 through September 30, 2006. Section 4. That all remaining provisions of Ordinance No. 2005-70 not hereby amended shall remain in full force and effect. Section 5. The fact that the present ordinances and regulations of the City of Grapevine, Texas, are inadequate to properly safeguard the health, safety, morals, peace, and general welfare of the public creates an emergency which requires that this ordinance become effective from and after the date of its passage, and it is accordingly so ordained.
