Alpha Testing arrived on site to perform a Visual Structural Steel Inspection for the above referenced
project. Results of the inspection are as follows:
I Deck Edge Angle Splice Plates – Low Roof & High Roof
A Re-inspected items 1(B) & 2(B) from report F211334/1069841 referencing edge angle
splices. Angle splice plates have been installed at inspected locations. Reference detail
2/SR4.0. This clears items 1(B) and 2(B) from report dated 6/27/2022.
II A325 Bolted Connections and Brace Frame Welded Connections – 2nd Floor & Roof Framing –
lines 1 to 7 & A to J (sheet SR2.1) and 7 to 2 & A to D.6(sheet SR2.3)
A Inspected A325 bolted connections had plies of connected elements in firm contact and
inspected bolts were tensioned to a snug tight condition.
B Brace frame welded connections were inspected per sheets SR2.1, SR2.2 and SR4.5.
Reference details 1 thru 6 on sheet S4.5. Inspected brace frames were welded out as per
plan.
III Welded and Bolted Connections – HSS Tube Steel Framing and Channel Opening Framing – 2nD
Floor Miscellaneous Steel Framing – sheet SR2.2
A The slip connections for the (2) HSS (6”x6”x1/4”) columns, near lines J & 4 to 5, are
incomplete. HSS (6”x6”) Header is not installed and slip connections at wide flange
beam are not welded out. Reference detail 11/SR4.6.
B Other than noted above, inspected HSS tube steel to column welds and channel opening
welds were completed per detail. Reference sheets SR2.2, SR4.6, SR4.4, and SR4.3.
IV HSS Screen Wall Welded Connections - sheet SR2.4
A Welds were inspected per sheet SR2.4 and details 21 and 22 on sheet SR4.4. No
discrepancies were found at time of inspection.
*Discrepancies, if any, are noted above in bold.
