FUNDING SOURCE:: Funds are avai�aNe in the CapitM Equipment t Purchases Fund for an
estimated amount of$284,983.
BACKGROUND: This purchase is for 60 bMfistic slhieWs to be u tifiz. d in sclhoo in
Grapevine and for eaclh marked polka v lhnic; . These Ih ieMs wffl be used
throughout the city to provide an increased � v � of safety to the officer
responding to these situations.

These Ih ieWs were awarded through the Texas Officer of the Governor,
Pu bfic Safety Office, CriminM Justice Division and are ff0y reimbursaN .
Appropriation Ordinance 202 -005 was pr viou.0 �y approved appropriating
funds in the Grants Fund.
This purchase wffl be wade in accordance with existing inte VocM
agreement with The ILocM Government Purchasing Cooperative (Buy
Board) as M owed by Texas ILocM Government Code, Section 271 and
Texas Government Code, Chapter 791.
Bids were talk en by the Cooperative irnd a contract was awarded to ROE
TiacticaL The Poke and Purchasing staff reviewed the contract for
d partme ntM specification comphance and pricing and determined that
the contract nrroWd provide the best service and pricing for meeting the
needs of the City.
