HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-03-18THE STATE OF TEXAS X COUNTY OF TARRANT CITY OF GRAPEVINE The Planning & Zoning Commission of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in Regular Session on this the 18th day of March, 1980 with the following persons present to -wit: Duane Rogers - Chairman Jerry Burgess - Vice Chairman Ron Cook - Member Sharron Spencer - Member Robert Sands - Member Harlen Joyce - Member constituting a quorum with J. R. Baddaker, P.E., City Engineer, and Bobbie Phillippe, Acting City Secretary also in attendance. 14Y.All am come) 1.1141) 21 .114 Chairman Duane Rogers called the meeting to order. NEW BUSINESS The first order of business to come before the Planning & Zoning Commission was consideration of Zoning Application Z80-10, sub- mitted by Gary Blankenship to change the zoning of 1.468 acres of land near the Southeast corner of Tanglewood and Mustang Drive from "C-2" Community Business District to "R-2" Two Family Dwelling District or in the alternative any higher zoning that is more restrictive by use or restrictions, and make a recommendation to the City Council. After a short discussion Harlen Joyce made a motion to grant "SP" Specific Use Permit with nothing less than 2300 feet and 75% masonry. The motion was seconded by Member Jerry Burgess and prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Rogers, Joyce, Spencer, Sands, Cook and Burgess Nays: None The next order of business to come before the Planning & Zoning Commission was consideration of Zoning Application Z80-11 and make a recommendation to the City Council. The application, submitted by Harper Construction Company re- quested to change the zoning on 4.11 acres located on the West side of Dove Road adjacent to and North of South Shore Acres from "R -l" Single Family Dwelling to "R-2" Two Family Dwelling, or in the alternative any higher zoning that is more restrictive by use or restrictions. After a discussion Harlen Joyce made a motion to grant "SP" Specific Use Permit with 75% masonry for Single Family Attached with "R-2" Uses. After a short discussion, Member Harlen Joyce made a motion to accept the Final Plat. The motion, seconded by Member Robert Sands, prevailed as follows: Ayes: Rogers, Burgess, Spencer, Cook, Joyce and Sands Nays: None MINUTES - (FEBRUARY 19, 1980 & FEBRUARY 26, 1980) The next order of business was consideration of the Minutes of February 19, 1980 and February 26, 1980. Sharron Spencer made a motion to waive the reading of the Minutes and approve them as printed. Ron Cook seconded the motion and it prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Rogers, Burgess, Cook, Spencer, Joyce and Sands Nays: None ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to come before the Planning & Zoning Commission, Sharron Spencer made a motion to adjourn.
