COUNTY OF TARRANT
CITY OF GRAPEVINE
The Planning & Zoning Commission of the City of Grapevine,
Texas met in Regular Session on the 15th day of July, 1980
with the following persons present to -wit:
Duane Rogers
Chairman
Sharron Spencer
Member
Harlen Joyce
Member
Ron Cook
Member
Harold Anderson
Member
Gerald Norman
Member
constituting a quorum with City Engineer, J.R. Baddaker and
secretary, Susan Jennings also in attendance.
CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Duane Rogers.
ZONING APPLICATION Z80-27, LINEHAM
The first order of business was for the Planning & Zoning
Commission to consider Zoning Application Z80-27 submitted
by Jack B. Lineham and make a recommendation to the City
Council.
There being little discussion, Member Gerald Norman made a
motion to recommend approval of the application. The motion
was seconded by Member Harlen Joyce and prevailed by the follow-
ing vote:
Ayes : Rogers, Spencer, Joyce, Cook, Anderson, Norman
Nays : None
Absent : Sands
ZONING APPLICATION Z80-29, STEVEN I. GINSBERG
The next order of business was for the Planning & Zoning
Commission to consider Zoning Application Z80-29 submitted
by Steven Ginsberg and make a recommendation to the City
Council.
Following a short discussion, Chairman, Duane Rogers reminded
the committee that during the public hearing, upon request of
the applicant, consideration of this item was tabled until
August 19th.
ZONING APPLICATION Z80-30, AMFAC HOTEL
The next order of business was for the Planning and Zoning
Commission to consider Zoning Application Z80-30 submitted
by Amfac Hotels and make a recommendation to the City Council.
Harold Anderson made a motion to recommend approval of the
application. The motion was seconded by Member Harlen Joyce
and prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes : Rogers, Spencer, Joyce, Cook, Anderson, Norman
Nays : None
Absent : Sands
ZONING APPLICATION Z80-31, KEITH CECIL
The next order of business was for the Planning and Zoning
Commission to consider zoning Application Z80-31 submitted
by Keith Cecil and make a recommendation to the City Council.
Chairman, Duane Rogers, again reminded the committee that during
the public hearing, upon request of the applicant, consideration
of this item was tabled until August 19th.
ZONING APPLICATION Z80-32, ORVILLE CARLILE
The next order of business was for the Planning and Zoning
Commission to consider Zoning Application Z80-32 submitted
by Orville Carlile and make a recommendation to the City Council.
Chairman Duane Rogers, made a motion to recommend approval of
the application. The motion was seconded by Member Gerald Norman
and prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes : Rogers, Spencer, Joyce, Anderson, Norman
Nays : Ron Cook
Absent : Sands
ZONING APPLICATION Z80-33, CHESTER WOOTERS
The next order of business was for the Planning and Zoning
Commission to consider Zoning Application Z80-33 submitted
by Chester Wooters and make a recommendation to the City Council.
After a short discussion, Member Sharron Spencer made a motion
to approve the application for "SP" - for the construction
of mini warehouses. The motion was then seconded by Member
Gerald Norman and prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes : Rogers, Spencer, Joyce, Cook, Anderson, Norman
Nays : None
Absent : Sands
FINAL PLAT - GRAPEVINE HOUSING AUTHORITY
The next order of business was for the Planning and Zoning
Commission to consider the Final Plat of the Grapevine Housing
Authority and make a recommendation to the City Council.
Member Harold Anderson made a motion to recommend approval
of the final plat. Member Gerald Norman seconded the motion
and it prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes : Rogers, Spencer, Joyce, Cook, Anderson, Norman
Nays : None
Absent : Sands
PRELIMINARY PLAT - KIMBERLY ESTATES, PHASE II
The next order of business was for the Planning and Zoning
Commission to consider the Preliminary Plat of Kimberly Es-
tates, Phase II and make a recommendation to the City Council.
After a brief discussion, Member Gerald Norman made a motion
to recommend approval of the preliminary plat, with the under-
standing that Bluebird Street would be renamed on the final
plat to avoid a street name duplication.
Member Harlen Joyce then seconded the motion and it prevailed
by the following vote:
Ayes : Rogers, Spencer, Joyce, Cook, Anderson, Norman
Nays : None
Absent : Sands
The next order of business was for the Planning and Zoning
Commission to consider the Preliminary Plat of the Louis T.
Baker Addition, and make a recommendation to the City Council.
There was a question over the location of the proposed road and
the connection into the Corp of Engineers, therefore no action
was taken.
CONSIDERATION OF THE MINUTES - JUNE 17, 1980
The next order of business was for the consideration of the
Minutes of June 17, 1980.
Member Harlen Joyce made a motion to waive the reading of the
minute's and approve them as printed. The motion was seconded
by Member Harold Anderson and prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes : Rogers, Spencer, Joyce, Cook, Anderson, Norman
Nays : None
Absent : Sands
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Planning
and Zoning Commission, Member Ron Cook made a motion to ad-
journ. Member Sharron Spencer seconded the motion and all
in attendance voted "aye".
