COUNTY OF TARRANT
CITY OF GRAPEVINE
The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Grapevine,
Texas met in Special Session on October 7, 1980 with the
following persons present to -wit:
Duane Rogers
Harlen Joyce
Gerald Norman
Ron Cook
Chairman
Member
Member
Member
constituting a quorum with Vice -Chairman, Sharron Spencer
and Members Harold Anderson and Robert Sands absent with
City Engineer, J.R. Baddaker, P.E., and Secretary, Susan
Jennings also in attendance.

Chairman Duane Rogers called the meeting to order.
ZONING APPLICATION Z80-42, VERBURG
The first order of business to come before the Planning and
Zoning Commission was Zoning Application Z80-42, submitted
by Mr. Paul Verburg and make a recommendation to the City
Council.
Mr. Mike Starek was present representing Paul Verburg. Mr.
Starek stated the zoning would be for minimum density apartment
development with approximately 10 to 12 units per acre.
Chairman Duane Rogers stated in his opinion this request would
be very viable.
After a brief discussion, Member Harlen Joyce made a motion to
approve the application as submitted. Member Ron Cook seconded
the motion and it prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes : Rogers, Joyce, Norman, Cook
Nays : None
Absent : Spencer, Anderson, Sands
OLD BUSINESS - MASTER PLAN UPDATE
The next order of business to come before the Planning and
Zoning Commission was a general discussion in regard to the
Cities "Master Plan Update."
City Engineer, J.R. Baddaker stated two meetings had been
planned for the month of October. The first meeting was
scheduled for October 16th, however the second meeting has
not been set.
CONSIDERATION OF THE MINUTES - August 19, 1980
The next order of business was consideration of the minutes
of August 19, 1980.
Member Gerald Norman noted that there was an error made in
regard to Zoning Application Z80-35. Harold Anderson made
the motion and it was then seconded by Ron Cook. Secretary
Susan Jennings acknowledged the error and correction was made
to reflect the change. Duane Rogers then made a motion to
approve the Minutes with the exception of the above noted error.
Member Harlen Joyce seconded the motion and it prevailed by
the following vote:
