He informed everyone that Tom Cherry would not be in attendance due to a personal family matter but would be on a video call. • 1) Tray Poskey started the meeting by telling us the conditions of the golf course as well as other tasks they are preforming. The year has gone smooth and the verticutting process went great. The new green was built and sprigged and is growing in nicely. They have watered it as needed & instructed and it is starting to show signs of green. They are starting to roll the green as well. The course is in fantastic shape and continues to receive great reviews despite the weather. The golf course will be closed for aerification August 1 st & 2nd. This allows the maintenance team to have the entire course do they can do what they want. We are looking to apply poa application earlier this year, but at the correct time to be the most useful. 2) Archie Grine spoke about the successes Persimmon's has seen in the past several months. The leaders/supervisors are doing a great job and we are striving to build a culture within our team. New kitchen supervisor Nick leads the kitchen and has worked on changing the menu and has implemented his own flare. We are looking to do more options for breakfast along with doing brunch on the weekends but need to add 1 more cook to complete the task. There is a team environment at Persimmon's where people love to come to work. We are listening to golfers ideas which is helpful. The Bunker tries to be open Thursday — Sunday when staffing is high but continues to be an issue and AG would like to move it. RS would like to build a cart path closer to the clubhouse so people could enter by bar to buy product. 3) Robert Singletary commented on the 3rd quarter golf ops summary. Revenues continue to be up but rounds are down 5%. The rate increase has worked. Positive weather has contributed to revenues being up. Merchandise is up 13% for quarter, but up 20% for the year. The new putting green should be ready in the fall to use. IRS talked to the Sox people about doing work on Mockingbird #1 and Mockingbird #6. Cart path work on Pecan will start in a couple of weeks. Adding to the practice facility is in the future plans. We are challenged by the excessive wear and tear of the golf course with 80+K rounds, but we are managing it the best we can with the first tee time at 7:00am and closing off 9 for different periods of the day. We have ordered golf carts for 2024 and they are substantially higher than the current fleet we have. We hired Austin Fritz as our 5th golf professional and he has done a great job. The plan is to hire 2 shop attendants which will allow the golf professionals to only work 5 days a week instead of 6. Lou Capone asked about the possibility of hiring interns to help. We would still need to pay them and pay for room and board. Other golf courses employ interns, but have opportunities to house them. 4) Eric Hunt commented on instruction programs and golf outings. David has done a fantastic job with the junior academy as he has adjusted the way it's ran. The last junior camp was full and was a great success. Austin has begun teaching private lessons (around 2-3 per week). EH continues to receive several requests for outings/groups who want to play GV. It's a delicate balance to have outings at a public golf course. We can blend in smaller groups (16-40 players) into our tee sheet very easy. We don't want to have back to back big events each week but big events help Persimmon's with their numbers as well. 09- =-- The annual pass rate would also increase but Grapevine residents would receive a ,Viscount. We are at currently 91 annual passholders (121 this time last year). We hav,,-. 2 120 AP cap. Bryan Humphries was asked what the annual pass includes. RS 2.nswered. RS informed everyone we have 190 gold cards holders. There were several advisory board members had comments about the current state of making a tee time. R.'--',, informed/refreshed everyone that annual pass holders can make tee times 8 days in advance and gold card holders can make tee times 7 days in advance. We will be doing a double tee every day of the week until the middle of September to let more players on the course during the hot months (days where don't have events or maintenance). CONSIDERATION of MINUTES Consideration to approve the minutes from the January loth, 2023 meeting wert approved by a motion by Robert Blalock with a second from Ronnie Hatley. ADJOURNMENT made by Lou Capone. All were in favor and no one opposed. N ATTEST;/' Robert Singletary Director of Golf I
