SUBJECT: EXTENSION OF CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT CU12-24
RACETRAC
Staff has received a request from Elaine Pickering with Adams Engineering requesting a
one-year extension to their previously approved Conditional Use Permit CU12-24 to
establish a planned commercial center and to allow gasoline service, off-premise
consumption of alcoholic beverages (beer and wine only) outside dining in conjunction with
a convenience store to expire on July 17, 2014.
Conditional Use Permit CU12-24 was originally considered and approved at the July 17,
2012 joint public hearing. The site is located at 3955 Grapevine Mills Parkway and platted
as Lot 1, Block 1, RaceTrac Grapevine Addition.

Dear Ms. Batte:
I am writing to request a one -year extension of the conditional use permit granted for the
above - referenced project on July 17, 2012. It was not our intent to let it expire, as we have
been diligently working with the City and FEMA to get the floodplain issues addressed.
However, the timeframe slipped by very quickly. We understand that the extension will expire
July 17, 2014, and hope to be well under construction by then.
