The City of Grapevine Parks &Recreation Advisory Board met September 21, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at The
Vine Arts & Events Center located at 225 W Worth, Grapevine, Texas with the following members
present, to-wit:

Christian Ross called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. A moment of silence as observed followed by
the invocation led by Christian.

Summer Camps and Programs Recap were presented to the board:

Avery Gaudeftprovided an update for GHS. Updates included upcoming GHS Homecomingplans,
Homecoming r , athletics (football, basketball and volleyball) and the hospital/healthcare
education program.
Audrey Torres provided an update for CHHS. Updates included the CHHS Homecoming recap and
athletics (volleyball, football, cheer and drill team).

Kathy Spradley was absent, therefore; Christian Ross provided an update on her behalf. Updates
included the recognition f 14 members of the GCISDClass of names National Merit Semifinalists
by the National Merit ScholarshipCorporation as well as a 9/11 tribute at the Mustang PantherStadium
with local first responders and high school wrestlers in attendance.

Paul Slechta provided an update for City Council. Updates included a GrapeFestrecap, the 4thSister
City signingwithAustralia's ros Valley,the upcoming Settlers Park presentation to council andthe
FY 23-24 budget.

ris Smith provided a Parks and Recreation update. Updates included Settlers Park, the GrapeFest
Tennis& Pickleball Classic, Sister City tour of Parks and Recreation with guests from Barossa Valley,
ECO Talk: Tough Texas Plants, Sunset Live and the DFW Director's 6 Pack Challenge.
Trent Kelley provided an update, is included The REC Performance Utilization Analysis, weekly
cleaning of The Bark Park at Bear Creek Park and completion of work atthe BearCreek ballfields
and parking lot.
Randy Sell provided an update, which included Sand Bass Point parking lot and dock renovations
and repairs.
