Motion by LH Cook Seconded by EF Brown that property holders be notified of contents of petition circulated Bart Starr in regard to opening alleys and that they are abstracting public property. BR Wall was sworn in by out going Mayor CE Walker. Five alderman LH Cook, EF Brown, GE McCombs, DD Wall and HW Withrow were sworn in by Mayor Elect BR Wall. City Secretary was appointed. There being no further business court adjourned to meet third Friday night in May. ER Brown Secretary BR Wall Mayor Grapevine City Corporation Court April 21, 1916 We the undersigned Citizens of Grapevine Texas hereby petition the honorable Mayor and City Council now in session, to open and make passable the following Alleys in Starr Addition to Grapevine, First the one running north and south between Barton Street and north Main Street the full length of said Ad-south intersecting Main St - proper on the south, Second: the one running east and west between Blocks #5 and #6 on Barton Street and between Blocks #1 and #2 on North Main Street. We pray that immediate action be taken in this matter and that a copy of this petition be filed by your secretary.
