Meeting of City Council Grapevine Texas held April 19, 1923
The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor DD Wall. Present FP Wiegers, CM Mullican, GE McCombs, EE Lowe, HC Yancey, EE Lowe and HC Yancey were sworn in as Alderman by Mayor DD Wall.
HC Yancey was elected Secretary of the the City Council.
Motion and second that the Grapevine H0me Bank be used as the meeting place for the City Council for the the ensuing year.
Mayor Wall appointed as followed.

FP Wiegers Light Comm
EE Lowe Fire Comm
YE McCombs Sanitary Comm
Fire Commissioner L0we was allowed further time for the appointment of a fire chief for the ensuing year.
Motion and second carried to change the regular meeting nights for the City Council from the first and third Thursday nights of each month to the first and third Friday nights of each month.
The Secretary was authorized and instructed to solicit funds from the three banks of Grapevine for the depository of the City funds for a period of 1 year. Bids to state rate of interest on average early depends when in excess of $100.00 and also rate of interest on loans to the City said loans not to exceed $1000.00 and maturity of rate to the beyond the expiration of the present term of office.

Motion and second that HF Saunders be allowed $10.00 per year on his taxes for the privilage of decomposing trash and rubbish on his place north of town. This agreement to be discounted when the City discontinues when the City discontinues the use of Saunders place as dumping ground.
Alderman Lowe and Mullican were appointed by Mayor Wall to try to secure right of way thru town for the purpose of widening the Grapevine and Coppell Road to a fifty foot road.
No further business appearing motion carried to adjourn.
