Regular Meeting of City Council held April 4, 1924
Council called to order by Mayor DD Wall
Present Millican, Wiegers, Lower, McCombs, Yancey Alderman and LD Kirkpatrick, JA Spinks, JW Harrison, Early Yates Alderman Elect and Lee Nelson Marshall Elect.

The results of the City Election was canvassed and the following were found to be elected for the ensuing year.
EE Lowe Mayor receiving 55 votes
LD Kirkpatrick Alderman receiving 54 votes
JW Harrison Alderman receiving 55 votes
JA Spinks Alderman receiving 55 votes
Earl Yates Alderman receiving 55 votes
HC Yancey Alderman receiving 54 votes
FP Wiegers and BH Starr received 1 vote each for Alderman.
EE Lowe was sworn in as Mayor by retiring Mayor DD Wall.

HC Yancey being a hold over was not re-sworn.
HC Yancy was unanimously elected City Secretary.
A Spinks was appointed Fire and Police Commissioner.
LD Kirkpatrick was appointed light commissioner.
JW Harrison was appointed street commissioner and Earl Yates Sanitary Commissioner.
Alderman Earl Yates was elected Mayor Pro Tem and will full authority during the absence of Mayor Lowe.
Lee ____ Salary As City Marshall was placed at $15.00 permanent. All receipts to be turned in to City Treasurer
The following Fire Marshall Ordinance was adopted.

The City Secretary was instructed to ask each of the three banks on City funds for the ensuring year starting the rate of interest they will pay on City as average daily balance when said balance

is in excess $100.00 and what rate of interest they will charge the City on hand not to exceed $1000.00 on notes daily authorized by City Council and signed by Mayor and City Secretary
