HomeMy WebLinkAbout1924-12-29 Called meeting of the City Council held, December 29, 1924, at 7:30 PM at its regular meeting place in Grapevine, Texas with E. E. Lowe as Mayor, presiding and with the following Alderman present; J. A. 5pinks, LD Kirkpatrick, J. W. Harrison and HC Yancey. The mayor stated that the meeting had been called to consider bids on the construction of the Grapevine Water Works and all bids were opened and read. The bid of Q.D. Lewis of $6707.50 for th e digging of the well as accepted; being the most satisfactory bid for the city. All other bids were rejected and the contract readvertised and new bids will be opened January 19th, 1925. No further business motion carried to adjourn. City Secretary Mayor Arlington, Texas December 27, 1924 Dear Sirs: We are pleased to submit to you the following bid on meter well to be drilled for the City of Grapevine, Texas. We will furnish all machinery, tools, labor, fuel, etc necessary to drill this well, City of Grapevine to furnish water for same location to well to be furnished by city of Grapevine.
