HomeMy WebLinkAbout1925-11-06The meeting of the City Council of the City of Grapevine Texas held its regular meeting place on Friday November 6, 1925 at 8:00 pm with the following present Mayor EE Lowe presiding and Alderman Earl Yates, JW Harrison, JA Spinks, LD Kirkpatrick and HC Yancey. Minutes of previous meeting read and approved. The following bills were read allowed and ordered paid. #1671 JS Daniels Nightwatchman and Marshall October 1925 and killing 1 dog $15.50 #1672 WM Cameron and Co Lumber bill $17.70 #1673 Texas Power and Light Co Street Lights Oct $45.75 #1674 Texas Power and Light Co Pumping bill October $112.29 #1675 WP Kindrick, building bridges $3.00 #1676 American LaFrance Fire Engine Co 2 nizzels $80.00 #1677 CB Murrell 10 gallons gas $2.10 #1678 EL Jordan fire plug valve and repairs on fire hose nozzels $3.20 #1679 Willhoites Garage labor on water mains $2.25 #1680 CM Millican 4 wrenches, work on truck $2.25 #1681 Axell and Co Invoice $11024 $5.10 #1682 City Garage 5 gallons medium oil $3.50 #1683 Grapevine Telephone Co phone and calls $3.25 #1684 Lee Lowe Police during Community Fair $18.50 #1685 BB Tidmore, stamps for water notices $2.00 Bills of Zeb Jenkins for $60.35 and CA DeArmono for $12.45 were held up for investigation. Ordinance No. 31 offering reward for the conviction of the crime of arson was passed and ordered published. BB Tidmore was appointed tax assessor and collector for the City of Grapevine, Texas for the year 1925-26, viz collecting taxes for 1925 and assessing taxes for 1926. The city of pay 5% of funds collected for the general fund of the CIty of Grapevine, Texas. Building code advised by the State Fire Insurance Commission was adopted by unanimous vote of the Council.
