item, upon being recognized by the Chairman or upon the consent of the Parks & Recreation

The City of Grapevine Parks & Recreation Advisory or met October 19, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at The
Vine Arts & Events Center located at 225 W Worth, Grapevine, Texas with the following members
present, to -wit:

Christian Ross called the meeting to order at 6:03 p.m. A moment of silence was observed followed by
the invocation led by Christian.

A motion was made to approve the Adopt -An -Area agreements. Christian Ross abstained due to his
involvement with the Grapevine Rotary Club.

Presentations
Mick Massey of Barker, Rinker, Seacat Architecture provided an update to the board regarding the
findings and recommendations of The REC Performance Utilization Analysis.
GCISD Student qM Liaison MRdate
Avery Gaudeft provided an update for GHS. Updates included Trunk or Treat, Art Deco Camp, Band
Camp and the current standings for football, basketball, and volleyball.
Audrey Torres provided an update for CHHS. Updates included the Red Rail game, sports standings,
regional band competitions, Latin Club events, Red Ribbon Week, October 28 Senior Night,
cheerleading, drill team, and upcoming pep rallies.
GCISD Board Liaison
Wathy Spradley was absent, therefore; Christian Ross provided an update on her behalf. Updat
included Parks and Recreation Events Manager, Erin Burke, will present an update on the Christm
season and events to the school board during their regular meeting on Monday, October 23. 1
City Council LaisqA Update
Darlene Freed provided an update for City Council. Updates included Christmas season plans, Paycom
itxpansion, Meow Wolf, tax rates, and the top producing restaurants in Grapevine.
�'-arlks and Recreation Up•Late
Chris Smith provided a Parks and Recreation update. Updates included the National Recreation an's
Park Association "Outdoors for All" campaign, PumpkinFest at Meadowmere Park was featured on
Good Morning Texas, and staff presented about Club All -Access program to Grapevine Rotary Club
,nembers at their weekly meeting on Wednesday, October 4.
Trent Kelley provided an update, which included the upcoming Cater Blood Drive hosted by
Grapevine Rotary Club at The REC, Veteran's Day Parade and Fair, Butterfly Flutterby, and Carol
Lights. I
