1969, THE PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD AGENDA WAS PREPARED AND
POSTED ON THIS THE 23RD DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1981.

The City of Grapevine Parks and Recreation Board convened in
regular meeting at 7:30 p.m., on this the 26th day of February,
1981, with the following members present to -wit:
Mike McKinney
Elmer Ball
Mike Pearce
Margaret Bates
Julian Dyke
Don Callenius
Dorothy Foster
Kevin Conklin and Skip Keller of the City staff were present.
The ex -officio school board representative, Mike Davis, was
present.
The invocation was given by Mike Pearce.
The minutes of 1/29/81 were approved unanimously.
Under Citizens Requests and Miscellaneous Reports, the Grapevine
Middle School Football Field was discussed. Mike Davis reported
that the GCISD had relighted the field, and would like for the
City to join with them in a joint development effort to further
refurbish the field, concession stand, and bleacher stands. A
motion was made by Julian Dyke in favor of continued cooperation
between the City and School District. The motion was seconded
by Don Callenius, and passed unanimously. Kevin will meet with
Charles Dunn and Leon Lovelace of the School District.
Kevin said that Skip Nemitz had resigned as superintendent of
parks, and has been replaced by Roger Dickerson.
Skip Keller gave an update on the recreation division, discussing
when and what type of softball registration will be held.
Under Discussion Items, the Capital Improvements Program was
reviewed by Kevin. A parks and recreation master plan was
discussed.
The next meeting will be held Thursday, March 26, 1981.
There being no further business, a motion to adjourn was made
by Elmer Ball, and seconded by Don Callenius. All present voted
aye. The meeting was adjourned.
