The Board thought it would be best to wait until after January 1, 1984 to
present the Council with the ideas pertaining to future capital
improvements.
The Board discussed the need to enlist some residents' support in writing
letters to the editor for the newspaper, commenting on our facilities and
services.
There could possibly be a recommendation available to the Council next
month regarding a replacement for Margaret Bates.
Scott Brown was selected to be the youth advisory member to the Board.
There was considerable discussion regarding the Civic Center and its
uses. Specifically, there have been several requests from citizens and
groups wanting to have fee -related activities at the center. The Board's
feeling was to have the facility remain available to non -charging,
non-profit organizations. The Austin Ranch and Concourse are available
for rental purposes for the croups wishing to charge.
