RFCmTION BOARD AGENDA WAS PREPARED AND POSTED ON THIS THE 24TH DAY OF
OCTOBER, 1983.

The City of Grapevine Parks and Recreation Board convened in regular
meeting at 7:30 p.m., on this the 27th day of October, 1983, with the
following members present to -wit:
Mike McKinney
Bobby Nery
Julian Dyke
Jerry Brown
Janice Kirkland
Scott Brown
Kevin Conklin and Mark Mailes of the City Staff was present.
The meeting was called to order by Mike McKinney.
The invocation was given by Julian Dyke.
The Minutes of September 29, 1983 were approved unanimously.
Under miscellaneous Reports, Kevin introduced Scott Brown, the new
student advisory member.
Under Action Items, the status of pee wee basketball eligibility was
discussed. The Board recamiended that no GCISD participants should have
to practice anywhere except in GCISD schools. Team members that live
outside the GCISD will be integrated with Grapevine teams and will pay an
additional fee.
Also under Action Items, the purchase of Cluck Park was discussed. The
one acre park has recently been placed on the market, and the selling
price is $11,068. Julian Dyke motioned to recamend purchasing the
property, and Jerry Brown seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
Under additional Miscellaneous Reports:
(1) bids are being solicited for a Senior Citizens van
(2) the Christmas Parade is Thursday, December 1
(3) the asphalt roadway bid for Parr Park is $22,625
(4) the irrigation bid for Parr Park is $27,560
The next meeting will be Thursday, December 8.
There being no further business, a motion to adjourn was made by Jerry
Brown, and seconded by Bobby Nery. All present voted aye. The meeting
was adjourned.
