Board to consider recommending an increase in swimming pool admission fees to the City Council VII. ADJOURNMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH ARTICLE 6252-17, V.A.T.C.S., AS AMENDED BY CHAPTER 227, ACTS OF THE 61ST LEGISLATURE, REGULAR SESSION, 1969, THE PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD AGENDA WAS PREPARED AND POSTED ON THIS THE 1ST. DAY OF APRIL, 1985. DIRECTOR OF PARKS AND RECREATION CITY OF GRAPEVINE 11 COUNTY OF TARRANT It STATE OF TEXAS 1991 The City of Grapevine Parks and Recreation Board convened in regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. on this the 4th, day of April, 1985, with the following members present to --wit: Mike McKinney Scott Brown Sue Burgtorf Julian Dyke Jerry Brown Bill Martin Bobby Nery Kevin Conklin and Ann Gventer of the City Staff were present. Mike McKinney called the meeting to order, and Kevin gave the invocation. The Minutes of January 24, 1985 were approved unanimously. Under Miscellaneous Reports, Kevin discussed the following: (1) the repair and resurfacing of Dove Park Tennis Courts and Basketball Court; construction is to begin Monday, April 8, 1985 (2) Hutchins Park; the park is about 90% complete (3) Glade Crossing Park; the park is about 50% complete; the playground equipment installation and landscaping is now being performed (4) Dove Crossing Park; construction of this park is to begin in about 2-3 weeks (5) Senior Citizens Center; the center is becoming overcrowded on an almost daily basis; 115 to 125 people attend weekly special events. Under Action Items, the Board voted unanimously to recommend to the City Council that the softball complex recently constructed be named Oak Grove Park Softball Complex. Also under Action Items, the Board voted unanimously to recommend the following fee increases involving the aquatic program to the City Council: (1) general admission fee from $ .50 to $ .75 (2) swim lessons for non-residents, from $12.00 to $17.00 (3) swim team for non-residents, from $18.00 to $23.00 There being no further business, a motion to adjourn was made by Bill Martin, and seconded by Jerry Brown.
