DAY OF OCTOBER, 1985. ti t DIRECTOR OF P R ND RE R N CITY OF GRAPEVINE §§ COUNTY OF TARRANT §§ STATE OF TEXAS §§ The City of Grapevine Parks and Recreation Board convened in regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. on this the 24th. day of October, 1985, with the following members present to -wit: Sue Burgtorf Margaret Telford Bobby Wise Bill Martin Julian Dyke Kevin Conklin and Mark Mailes of the City Staff were present. Also present was Jerry Brown and Scott Brown. The meeting was called to order by Sue Burgtorf. The invocation was given by Sue Burgtorf. Former Board Members Jerry Brown (1980-85 term served) and Scott Brown (1983-85 term served) were presented plaques of appreciation. The Minutes of August 29, 1985 were approved. Under Discussion Items, the following business was addressed: (1) vacancy in place b - the Board chose not to recommend a replacement to the Council for their consideration; the vacancy has been announced and applications submitted by interested citizens; (2) Terra Properties Zoning Case - the zoning case was approved by City Council; there was 20-25 acres of park land donated to the City by Terra, and a $500,000 donation in cash will be given to the City with the issuance of the first building permit (3) status of open space acquisitions - see above under Terra; also the Open Space Committee has approved, subject to final Council approval, the acceptance of almost 1 (one) acre of land in the plat of Creek Crossing in south Grapevine, and almost 1 (one) acre of land in the plat of Timberline South, located south of Timberline Drive. Julian Dyke mentioned the possibility of discussing the status of an indoor center at the next Board meeting. The next meeting will be November 21, 1985.
