AND RECREATION BOARD AGENDA WAS PREPARED AND POSTED ON THIS THE 8TH.

The City of Grapevine Parks and Recreation Board convened in regular
meeting at 7:30 p.m. on this the 16th. day of January, 1986, with
the following members present to -wit:
Sue Burgtorf
Mike Conroy
Bobby Nery
Bill Martin
Craig Martin
Margaret Telford
Julian Dyke
Alex McKee
Kevin Conklin and Mark Mailes of the City Staff were present. Bob
Farmer represented Grapevine Pony Baseball and Pam Mitch represented
Pee Wee Football. There was no representative present for DFW Soccer.
The meeting was called to order by Sue Burgtorf. The invocation was
given by Sue.
The minutes of December 19, 1985 were unanimously approved, with the
exception that Mike Conroy WAS in attendance.
The reports from Baseball and Football are as follows:

Practice begins after March 9, 1986. The first regulation 'game is
scheduled for April 9, 1986. The regular season ends May 23, with a
week-long tournament afterward. Beginning June 9, 1986, there will be
4 weeks of an all-star league. Baseball anticipates up to 11 teams
total. Five Pitch should have 250 participants.

Practice will be approximately September 1,. 1986. There will be 5 to
6 teams. The facilities at Parr Park were fine for football
practices.
Under Miscellaneous Reports, Kevin informed the Board that the
preliminary cost estimates for lighting 2 soccer fields is $113,000
low, and $143,000 high. That does not include engineering costs.
The next meeting will be February 20, 1986 at 7:30 p.m.
There being no further business, a motion to adjourn was made by
Margeret Telford, and seconded by Alex McKee. All present voted aye.
The meeting was adjourned.
