Board to consider recommending amendments to the City's Athletic Facilities Policy to the City Council. B. Board to consider recommending an amendment to Chapter 16, Parks and Recreation, City Code of Ordinances, to not allow Golf playing in developed City Parks and Athletic Facilities. VII. ADJOURNMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH ARTICLE 6252-17, V.A.T.C.S., AS AMENDED BY CHAPTER 227, ACTS OF THE 61ST LEGISLATURE, REGULAR SESSION, 1969, THE PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD AGENDA WAS PREPARED AND POSTED ON THIS THE 9TH. DAY OF JULY, 1986. DIRECTOR OF PARKS AND RECREATION CITY OF GRAPEVINE COUNTY OF TARRANT STATE OF TEXAS The City of Grapevine Parks and Recreation Board convened in regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. on this the 17th. day of July, 1986, with the following members present to -wit: Sue Burgtorf Bobby Nery Bill Martin Bobby Wise Mike Conroy Penny Bigbie Shane Wilbanks Craig Martin Members absent were: Margaret Telford, Sherry Blackshear, Julian Dyke, Alex McKee. Members of the City Staff present were: Kevin Conklin and Mark Mailes. The meeting was called to order by Sue Burgtorf. The invocation was given by Shane Wilbanks. Under Miscellaneous Reports, the Staff reported that the Regional Swim Meet was to be held in Denton on July 26, 1986, and that Grapevine was hosting a Regional Softball Tournament each of the following weekends. Under Action Items, the following business was discussed and acted upon: (1) Bobby Wise motioned and Mike Conroy seconded to recommend the Staff's amendments to the Athletic Facilities Policy to the Council; the policy amendments were adopted unani- mously; (2) Sue Burgtorf motioned and Bill Martin seconded to re- commend to the Council an ordinance prohibiting golf playing in parks; the motion was approved unanimously. The next meeting will be August 28, 1986 with the Youth Sports Boards. There being no further business, a motion to adjourn was made by Bill Martin, and seconded by Bobby Wise. All present voted aye.
