This will be a very important and timely meeting - the Grapevine Lake Master Plan will be presented. We have not had a quorum at the August or September meetings. Sincerely, Mark Mailes Director Parks and Recreation \P]w CITY OF GRAPEVINE COUNTY OF TARRANT STATE OF TEXAS The City of Grapevine Parks and Recreation Board met in regular session Thursday, October 26, 1989 at 7:00 p.m. at the Grapevine Senior Citizen's Center, 421 North Church Street, Grapevine, Texas, with the following members present, to -wit: Robert Brunson Bill Martin Jackie Disselkoen Julian Dyke David O'Briant Alex McKee Bobby Kay Nery Dick Rawlins Ray Payne Shane Wilbanks The following City Staff were present: Mark Mailes Joe Moore CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m. by Bill Martin. INVOCATION The invocation was given by Bill Martin. MINUTES Minutes of meetings of July 20, August 24, and September 21, 1989 were summarized for the Board. Upon motion made by Julian Dyke and Seconded by Bobby Kay Nery, the minutes were Approved. ACTION ITEMS A. A presentation of the Grapevine Lake Master was presented to the Board by Bill Martin. After the presentation, the Board held an open discussion of the plan. After the discussion, a Motion was made by Julian Dyke, and Seconded by Alex McKee to accept the Grapevine Lake Master Plan as presented. Motion carried. B. Parr Park/Creekwood Park - the Board was given an update on the improvements to be made to these parks. CITIZEN'S REQUEST AND/OR MISCELLANEOUS REPORTS Mark Mailes reported on the City Council's Resolution and the Board discussed it. After discussion, David O'Briant and Robert Brunson volunteered to assist Mark and Joe Moore with the Parks and Recreation Department's project. Unfinished Item - Meadowmere privatization proposal by Willie Ihnfeldt was tabled until the Lake Master Plan was accepted by City Council. "Living Legacy" of John Rainwater tree program was proposed to be November 7 at 4:30 p.m. A tree will be planted in honor of Buford Watson, Mark Watson's father.
