Board to hear presentation by Oak Grove Park (McPherson Slough) Lake Master Plan Implementation Committee and take any necessary action. B. Board to discuss proposal by Greg Oglesby of N.E.T. Soccer Association and take any necessary action. VI. Adjournment IN ACCORDANCE WITH ARTICLE 6252-17, V.A.T.C.S., AS AMENDED By CHAPTER 227, ACTS OF THE 61st LEGISLATURE, REGULAR SESSION, 1969, THE PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD AGENDA WAS PREPARED AND POSTED ON THIS THE 10th DAY OF OCTOBER, 1990 AT 5:00 P.M. �NIA � VA 6A 04 DI EC OR OF PARKS D RECREATION CITY OF GRAPEVINE COUNTY OF TARRANT STATE OF TEXAS The City of Grapevine Parks and Recreation Board met Thursday, October 18, 1990 at 7:00 p.m. at the Grapevine Senior Citizen's Center, 421 North Church Street, Grapevine, Texas, with the following members present, to -wit: Absent: Robert Brunson Jackie Disselkoen Bill Martin David O'Briant Julian Dyke Denise Gasmire The following City Staff were present: Mark Mailes Ray Payne Margaret Telford Shane Wilbanks Alex McKee Jack Webre Joe Moore The meeting was called to order by Bill Martin. The invocation was given by Mark Mailes. Jackie Disselkoen moved that the minutes of the September 20, 1990 meeting be approved, Ray Payne seconded. The minutes were approved. There were no citizen's requests or miscellaneous reports. Under action items, the board heard a report from the Oak Grove Park (McPherson Slough) Lake Master Plan Implementation Committee. Chris Mills, a member of the committee, gave a presentation on the work of the committee. Margaret Telford moved to accept the Grapevine Lake Master Plan as presented by the Oak Grove Planning Committee. Ray Payne seconded. The report was approved and will be sent to the City Council for further action. The committee was commended for the excellent work they did. Also under action items, the board heard a request from Greg Oglesby of the N.E.T. Soccer Association concerning the tournament that will be held at Oak Grove Park in December. The N.E.T. Soccer Association requested the city to take into consideration when charging for the use of the fields that the Association had made improvements at Parr Park and had been a major participant in cleaning up the soccer fields at Oak Grove after the recent flood. Jackie Disselkoen made the motion that to show appreciation for the assistance from the association that the fields be offered for the tournament with the consideration that the association will pay for the lights at the cost of six dollars per hour per field and that the contractual refundable deposit of five hundred dollars be honored. Robert Brunson seconded. The motion passed. Rick Davis, chairperson of the Grapevine Master Plan Meadowmere Committee, gave a report to the board on the progress of the committee. Mr. Davis stated that the completed plan would be presented at the next board meeting. Jackie Disselkoen moved that the meeting be adjourned. Margaret Telford seconded.
